ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU/CCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float pool position covering ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, and NICU across three facilities in Boise, Meridian, and Nampa (all approximately 20 minutes apart and accessible via interstate)
• RNs will only float within their specialty and will never float to a lower acuity unit
• Unit assignment provided via app 1 hour before shift start; mid-shift floating to different units and facilities may occur based on need
• Travelers are first to float
• Weekend shifts required as needed; holiday coverage filled in as needed
• No on-call or standby requirement
• No self-scheduling; block scheduling attempted but not guaranteed
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: ER 1:4, ICU 1:1-2, MedSurg 1:5, Tele 1:4, Peds 1:3, NICU 1:4
• Nurse aides and patient care techs available on units with ratios of 1:8-10 depending on floor and day
• Charge nurse present on all units; float pool has 7 assistant managers with one always on call 24/7
• Titration of drips required for ICU, ER, Tele, MedSurg, and PICU assignments
• ICU, ER, Tele, and PICU staff must read and interpret tele/monitor
• 3 shifts of inpatient orientation provided along with a meet and greet on day 1
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: No specific color required as long as clean and professional
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty and previous travel experience
• Required certifications: BLS (required for all), ACLS and NIHSS (required for Tele and Critical Care), TNCC (required for ED)
• Acute care setting
• BSN not required
