ICU RN Job in Goldsboro, NC

You will work as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at University of North Carolina Health Care System in Goldsboro, NC. This is a 12-hour shift position with an 89-day duration, starting November 9, 2026. You will earn $2,010 per week.

Your schedule follows a 6-week rotation of rotating day and night shifts, typically alternating 3 weeks of days with 3 weeks of nights. You will provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards and coordinate patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver care to patients with complex medical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan
• Organize and prioritize care based on individual patient and family needs
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs for patients and their families
• Collaborate with patients and families to prepare or update the care plan
• Consult with appropriate resources for patients with complex care issues, unusual teaching needs, and high-risk discharge planning
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions focused on patient care evaluation
• Communicate relevant information to ensure continuity of care
• Assess patient, family, and caregiver readiness to learn and provide appropriate education materials
• Recognize data from complex situations to determine priorities
• Develop relationships with families to support their ability to advocate for patients
• Participate in unit goal development and performance improvement activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment

You must hold a current RN license and be willing to work rotating shifts in an intensive care setting.
