ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend required, with night shift covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Holiday rotation with regular staff
• No on-call or standby requirement
• 4-bed ICU unit with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response, suicide, detox, and occasional med-surg overflow
• Required to titrate drips including propofol, cardizem, insulin, precedex, levophed, and others
• Must read and monitor telemetry strips independently for both ICU and med-surg patients
• May float to med-surg as needed when census is low, typically without taking a full patient assignment
• 3-5 days of unit-specific orientation provided including policy review, MedTech, pharmacy, and lab training
• Extra shifts may be available; manager is open to block scheduling preferences
• Charting system: EPIC
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13 weeks
• Scrub color: any color except camouflage or orange
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS (AHA Only), PALS (AHA)
• ICU experience required
• Valid driver's license copy must be submitted with application (50-mile radius rule applies)
