Cath Lab Technologist Job in Austell, GA

Cobb Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a day shift position in Austell, Georgia. You will work alongside interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiologists to support diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures.

Position Details

• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call rotation every 4 weeks, Friday through Sunday
• 91-day contract
• Weekly pay: $2,072
• Must be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Function in monitoring, scrubbing, or circulating roles as needed
• Prep and educate patients for procedures
• Demonstrate and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
• Verify patient identity using 2 patient identifiers and confirm written orders and consent
• Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for procedures
• Maintain stock levels and assist with departmental records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a medical setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of cardiovascular cath or electrophysiology procedures
• Basic knowledge of hemodynamics, intracardiac electrograms, and electrophysiology equipment
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required upon hire
• ACLS certification required within 180 days of start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Cath lab experience
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Health Science
• Basic knowledge of electrocardiography, coronary heart disease, cardiac anatomy and physiology
