Medical Technologist Job in The Villages, FL

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is hiring a Medical Technologist for a 13-week assignment at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages, Florida. You'll work the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three days per week on a 12-hour schedule in the Laboratory Administration unit.

About the Role

As a Medical Technologist Generalist, you'll perform laboratory analysis and testing in a fast-paced hospital setting. This position requires you to be agile and comfortable multitasking across different lab areas. There is no float requirement, so you'll remain in your assigned unit throughout your assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist, or minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Florida licensure required in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology, and Microbiology
• ASCP or AMT certification required at time of submission
• Epic experience required
• Wellsky experience preferred

What You'll Do

You'll handle laboratory testing and analysis, working independently and collaboratively with the lab team. Cross-training in multiple lab disciplines is part of this role, and your ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential. You'll use Epic for clinical documentation and reporting throughout your assignment.

Compensation and Timeline

You'll earn $2,233.80 per week working three 12-hour shifts. The assignment runs 13 weeks, beginning November 9, 2026. This is a straightforward lab role with no on-call or float responsibilities.
