X-Ray Technician Job in Petoskey, MI

McLaren Northern Michigan is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) for a temporary travel position. You will work a 5x8 day shift and will be part of the imaging department team performing diagnostic radiologic procedures.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures consistent with established policies and procedures
• Operate and maintain all assigned imaging department equipment, including X-ray systems
• Position patients and use radiologic equipment to correctly capture images as requested by the physician
• Accurately perform all imaging exams as ordered in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
• Ensure the physician on duty is notified of imaging results
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients to foster comfort and confidence

Requirements:

• 2+ years of X-ray experience
• Operating room (OR) experience required
• Travel experience required
• Weekend availability required
• Current ARRT and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Skills checklist completion within one year of application preferred

Schedule Details:

You will work a standard day shift (5 days, 8 hours each). Additionally, you will participate in an on-call rotation of one week per month covering 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weeknights and Friday 7:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM for one weekend per month.

Assignment Details:

This is a 91-day temporary travel assignment starting August 31, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,374.
