About this role
Join Tri-State, a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, as a registered nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the night shift. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,549.16.
Role Overview
You will provide direct patient care in our Med-Surg/PCU with the flexibility to work across departments as clinical needs require. Your Washington state nursing license must be active and current. You are expected to demonstrate commitment through the holiday season with minimal requested time off.
Core Responsibilities
- Assess patient and family educational needs and deliver instruction using appropriate methods
- Implement patient safety measures including side rails, restraints, and safe equipment use according to facility policy
- Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment used in PCU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg areas
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow procedures for repair of essential equipment
- Apply infection control and isolation procedures with proper techniques and documentation
- Maintain standard precautions at all times
- Document patient status, nursing interventions, and patient responses accurately and completely throughout your shift
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of physician orders, including 24-hour order checks as applicable
- Provide thorough and accurate change-of-shift reports to oncoming staff
- Communicate critical lab values to physicians promptly per facility policy
- Maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general unit supplies
Requirements
You must hold an active Washington state nursing license and be willing to work the night shift. Clinical judgment, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
