Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with varied start times between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period at unit discretion
• Holiday scheduling based on unit coverage needs
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Must have at least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and ATCN (ENPC not accepted as a replacement for PALS)
• Charting system: Cerner EMR
• Must be proficient in reading telemetry strips using Phillips monitors
• Must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail)
• Must pass a Day 1 orientation exam (study guide provided)
• Must maintain sterile field competency as a core nursing skill
• May float between up to 4 facilities approximately 30 minutes apart, including mid-shift floats
• Personal vehicle required for travel between facilities
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• Scrub color: Navy
• 2-3 shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Unit consists of 36 acute beds, 54 subacute beds, and 6 trauma bays
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7; ventilators managed by RT
• Pharmacy available 24/7 with pharmacist in ER 10 hours per day
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
