PACU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Swedish CO is seeking a registered nurse for a seasonal travel position in Post Anesthesia Care (PACU). You will work the night shift from 3:30 PM to 4:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule for 91 days, beginning September 28, 2026.

Your Role

You will float between multiple PACU units, including the Main PACU/Surgical Robotics unit and the Orthopedic Surgery Center. The night shift operates with two RNs, and you will manage a patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients, with same-day surgery patients numbering up to 3 at a time, staffed per ASPAN standards. You will perform pre-operative and recovery care for any patient receiving anesthesia.

Patient Population and Specialties

This position features high neuro volume, including stroke patients, interventional radiology procedures, TAVRs, and critical care overflow. Surgeries covered include spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joint replacements, GYN, and robotic cases.

Clinical Environment

You will work with GE Monitors and the Meditech EMR system.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Critical care experience and/or prior PACU experience required
• Current certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

• Stroke care experience
• Flexible and outgoing personality

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,948.
