PACU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Swedish is seeking a travel RN for a seasonal position in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a 91-day assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Shift: 3 nights per week, 4:30 PM to 5:00 AM
• Weekly pay: $1,971
• Location: Denver, CO

Role and Responsibilities

You will float between multiple PACU units including Main/Surgical Robotics and the Orthopedic Surgery Center. The facility operates 59 total bays across all locations (27 Main, 12 Surgical Robotics, 20 Orthopedic Surgery Center). Night shift is staffed with 2 RNs with a patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients; same-day surgery patients may have up to 3 at a time, staffed per ASPAN standards.

Your responsibilities include pre-op preparation and recovery care for patients receiving anesthesia. You will care for a high neuro volume including stroke patients, interventional radiology, TAVRs, and critical care overflow. Surgical specialties include spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics cases.

Required Qualifications

• RN degree
• Current certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Critical care experience and/or PACU experience required
• Stroke care experience preferred

You will work with GE Monitors and Meditech EMR system. A flexible and outgoing personality is preferred for this role.
