PCU Registered Nurse Job in Atlanta, GA

Northside Hospital Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning September 9, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care to intermediate medical patients, including those recovering from thoracic surgery, cardiac procedures, hepatobiliary surgery, and head and neck surgery. Your responsibilities include managing patients on varying levels of respiratory support, from room air to BIPAP and Optiflow systems. You will work within a team-based environment caring for high-risk respiratory and cardiac patients.

Schedule and Compensation

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $1,759.71
• Assignment duration: 94 days

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in intermediate care or related specialty
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (preferred)

Holiday Commitment

You must work 2 of the following 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day. Additionally, you must work 1 minor holiday from the following options: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.

Location

Atlanta, Georgia. Only candidates traveling from outside a 50-mile radius of the facility will be considered for this position.
