Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Medical-Surgical nursing on the night shift. This is a full-time position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week.

Unit Overview

You will work on a 30-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving patients across multiple surgical specialties, including GI, GU, Plastics, and Overflow Ortho. The unit operates with patient ratios of 1:6–7 on night shift. You may be floated to other units as staffing needs require. Weekend hours are required every other weekend, and there are no on-call requirements.

Clinical Environment

The unit uses EPIC for the electronic medical record system. Equipment you will work with includes Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, SCD machines, PCA pumps, low air loss mattresses, and remote telemetry monitors.

Requirements

• Current RN license; must meet Missouri licensure criteria or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med Surg experience
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• ACLS from AHA and TNCC (preferred)

Additional Information

Night shift orientation occurs during the day shift; you must be available for the entire orientation week. Scrub color is black; Mercy M Wear uniforms only. Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 must be confirmed at the time of submission.

This assignment runs 13 weeks, with a start date of July 27, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,971.
