About this role
St Lukes Meridian Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) at $2,354 per week.
Role Overview
You will deliver respiratory care across all patient populations and care settings. Your responsibilities include administering 25–28 treatments per 8-hour shift, performing ABGs (radial or brachial), managing all respiratory treatments and equipment, and assisting with intubation. You will cover inpatient floors, the emergency room, PACU, and overnight oximetry monitoring. Equipment you will operate includes Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60, Vapotherm, and EPOC devices.
Patient Populations & Specialties
You will treat patients across all age ranges, including NICU Level IIB, MICU, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Float duties are expected across ICU, MICU, MS-Telemetry, and ER. You may also be asked to support Level II NICU deliveries and initiate CPAP as needed.
Scheduling & Flexibility
Night shifts run Friday and Saturday every other weekend. Self-scheduling is available, though travelers sign up last and are expected to remain flexible. Block scheduling is not available; you may be asked to trade shifts or rotate between day and evening times. Holiday rotation participation may be required. You may float to sister facilities in Nampa (14 miles west) or Boise (10 miles east) with a minimum of 60 minutes notice.
Orientation & Requirements
You will receive 1–2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor—typically one day in NICU/General and one day in ICU. The facility uses EPIC for charting. Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience is required; first-time travelers are accepted. You must hold current certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS (AHA), and RRT via NBRC. CRT certification is not accepted. Scrubs may be any color but must be clean and professional.
