Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
• All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no schedule requests can be made post-offer or on-site
• If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all applicable holidays; if three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two of them
• Patient ratio of 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• 59-bed emergency department with a daily census of approximately 250 visits
• Telemetry competency exam required
• Facility is a Level 3 trauma center (in process), primary stroke center, and chest pain center with CHF and STEMI capabilities
• Special equipment includes Arctic Sun and Glucommander
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS
• Required skills: triage, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, care of ventilated patients; preferred skills: continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
