CVOR RN Job in Winchester, VA

Winchester Medical Center is seeking an RN to join its Cardiovascular Operating Room team for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work day shifts in a dynamic surgical environment, providing direct patient care and supporting complex cardiac and vascular procedures.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12-hour day shifts per week
• Cardiac cases typically start at 6:15 AM and conclude by 5:15 PM
• Non-cardiac cases begin at 6:45 AM
• On-call requirements of 12–15 days per rotation, including 1–2 weekends as scheduled

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for adult patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
• Manage cases including cardiac surgery, vascular, thoracic, and TACS procedures
• Demonstrate proficiency with ECMO, Impella, Maze, and IABP equipment
• Assist the surgical team throughout all phases of the operative procedure

Requirements

• Current RN license (Virginia State License or Compact accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular OR experience
• CVOR certification required; cardiac surgery experience preferred
• Active ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications
• CNOR preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR; familiarity with Workday and ShiftWizard systems

What to Expect

You'll work alongside experienced surgical teams in a 1:1 patient ratio model, ensuring attentive, high-quality care. The facility uses blue scrubs per dress code policy. This assignment offers hands-on involvement in specialized cardiac and vascular surgery cases with opportunities to expand your technical skill set.

Compensation and Duration

Weekly pay: $2,676. Assignment start date: November 23, 2026. This is a 91-day travel contract based in Winchester, Virginia.
