CVOR RN Job in Richmond, VA

As an RN in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at CJW Medical Center Chippenham Campus, you will provide direct patient care and surgical support in a specialized cardiac and thoracic surgery environment. This is a 91-day travel position beginning September 7, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work on the 4th floor CVOR with unit hours of operation from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Scrub and assist with cardiac cases requiring cardiopulmonary bypass and related procedures in the mediastinum
• Support thoracic surgery cases including daVinci-assisted procedures and open thoracotomy
• Assist with VATS procedures, ECMO initiation procedures, and pericardial window cases
• Support a variety of cardiac procedures including CABG, valve replacement, aortic dissection repair, and TAVR
• Assist with thoracic surgery including daVinci-assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, and mediastinal lymph node biopsy
• Participate in on-call responsibilities beginning at 3:00 PM when assigned, including weekend call (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday when assigned)

Requirements and Compensation

• Current RN licensure required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases with bypass and related mediastinal procedures
• Ability to take call as assigned

Schedule and Pay

This position offers a 5x8 day schedule with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Weekly pay is $2,720. Hospital-provided scrubs are included.
