Interventional Radiology RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for its Interventional Radiology department in Rochester, New York. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Support procedures including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided interventions
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor vital signs and status during procedures
• Deliver post-procedure recovery care in PACU and extended-stay (23-hour) settings
• Serve as part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients
• Work collaboratively with interventional radiologists, technologists, and support staff in a multidisciplinary setting

Schedule and Compensation

• Work 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Day, evening, and night shift availability
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts required per unit needs
• Weekly pay: $3,088.80

Required Qualifications

• New York State RN License
• Minimum 1 year recent interventional radiology experience
• 2 years overall nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Additional Information

• Hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops required in procedural areas
• Compliance with infection prevention measures as needed
