Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, may change based on need
• Float to similar units required if needed
• Patient ratios: 6 patients during days, 7 patients during nights and weekends
• Daily census of 30 patients; unit has 30 beds and 30 rooms
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with general medical, pre and post-op diagnoses
• Special procedures include post heart cath, bedside dialysis cath, thoracentesis, and incision & drainage
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg/Tele experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Active RN Tennessee license required
• Required skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, cardiac drip management (no titration), pre/post hemodialysis management, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, PCA, TR Band, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care and management, peripheral line care/management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
