ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• High acuity unit with a heavy patient load including strokes, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases
• Some trauma cases present, though this is not a trauma-designated unit
• Security is onsite 24/7
• Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Provide routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess and address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, and De-Escalation certification
• RN license in state of employment or compact required
