PACU Registered Nurse Job in Midland, MI

MyMichigan Health – Midland is seeking an RN for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a temporary basis. This is a day shift role working three 12-hour shifts per week, with no weekend or mandatory on-call requirements.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in the post-operative setting, including medication administration, treatments, patient monitoring, and assistance with transfers. You will assess patient recovery needs, respond to alarms and call lights, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth transitions through Phase II recovery. Your responsibilities include processing physician orders accurately and in a timely manner, evaluating treatment effectiveness, and following up on medication changes and clarifications.

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license
• 2+ years of RN experience
• Pre/Post Op experience
• Phase II recovery experience
• PACU experience
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Skills checklist current within one year for Ambulatory specialty
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic EMR experience

Assignment Details

This temporary position runs for 91 days, with a start date of August 24, 2026. You must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility. Weekly pay is $1,970 for the 3x12 day schedule.
