Interventional Radiology Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is recruiting an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work 4 days per week on 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekday and weekend call requirements.

Your responsibilities include:

• Independently perform imaging and interventional procedures, applying independent judgment and initiative
• Demonstrate proper patient positioning and radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures and ensure patient safety protocols, including time-out verification
• Administer contrast media according to assigned protocols under the direction of the proceduralist
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and apply universal protocol standards
• Review patient history and physician orders to apply departmental protocols for optimal clinical outcomes
• Document patient information in the electronic health record system as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges accurately entered
• Support other departments performing general radiographic procedures as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or related imaging specialty
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or accredited invasive cardiovascular technology program
• Current ARRT Certificate or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pennsylvania clearances: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73

Compensation and assignment details: Weekly pay is $3,504. Assignment begins August 31, 2026.
