MRI Technologist Job in Austell, GA

Cobb Hospital is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Austell, Georgia. You will work a flexible schedule that includes night shifts Friday and Saturday from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM and Sunday from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with day shift hours as needed to meet department demands.

About the Role

You will operate MRI equipment with independent judgment, performing a full range of technical procedures. Your responsibilities include patient positioning, reviewing pulse sequence parameters, assessing magnet safety, and ensuring clinically acceptable image quality before release. You will gather complete clinical histories, assess for contraindications, and respond to emergency situations while maintaining patient observation throughout.

You may prepare and administer contrast agents, verifying orders, checking patient GFR labs, and ensuring weight-based dosing accuracy. You will manage all workstations associated with the MRI scanner, push and retrieve studies to the PACS system, and maintain the MRI suite in a safe, locked environment at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree
• MRI certification; minimum 1 year experience required (2 years preferred)
• ARMRIT Certified MRI Technologist or ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
• BLS (AHA), ARC-BLS, or BLS Instructor certification
• Competence in patient positioning, pulse sequence parameters, and magnet safety
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
• Ability to perform effectively in a stressful, fast-paced environment

Additional Responsibilities

You will clean and disinfect equipment in accordance with infection control policies, transport and position patients, and help patients on and off the procedure table. You must remain flexible with scheduling to meet department needs and maintain a professional uniform (Caribbean Blue).

Assignment Details

Weekly pay: $2,072. Assignment duration: 91 days. Start date: October 12, 2026.
