Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Vail, CO

You will work as a Scrub Tech at Vail Valley Surgery Center in Vail, Colorado, on a days shift with a 3x12 schedule. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,257.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Scrub and assist during surgical procedures, maintaining the integrity of the sterile surgical field
• Provide instrumentation and equipment to the surgical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Apply expertise in sterile and aseptic technique with working knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and AORN standards
• Maintain and check all items for proper packaging, processing, moisture, seal integrity, sterile indicators, and expiration dates
• Monitor the sterile field for contamination or interference and initiate corrective action as needed
• Work toward competency or demonstrate competency with Tier 1 surgical cases
• Participate in Time Out Process including Briefings and Debriefings
• Assist the team with patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization
• Maintain currency in new technologies, procedures, instrumentation, and equipment
• Provide care for patients across all age groups, including neonatal through geriatric populations

Requirements:

• Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist credential
• Active Colorado Surgical Technologist license
• BLS certification by American Heart Association
• Computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements and access online forms and policies
