NICU RN Job in Modesto, CA

Sutter Health Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, California is seeking a registered nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will work 3 x 12-hour night shifts weekly at $2,651.62 per week.

About the Role

As an RN in the NICU, you will provide direct care to critically ill neonates across various acuity levels. Your responsibilities include:

• Attending high-risk deliveries and providing immediate newborn support
• Managing patient ratios of 1:2 in a Level II and Level III NICU environment
• Caring for neonates under 34 weeks gestational age, including those in the 29-34 week range
• Participating in rotating weekend shifts as scheduled
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support vulnerable patient populations

Required Qualifications

You must hold a valid California RN license and maintain current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and S.T.A.B.L.E. (an acronym for assessment and care of babies with physiologic stress). A minimum of 3 years of NICU experience is required; 5 years is preferred. Previous charge nurse experience is a plus. Travel nursing experience is required for this assignment.
