Job Details:

• 1 year of experience required in specialty
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• Float requirement - rotated with staff
• Weekend coverage required - every other weekend
• First-time travelers welcome
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for adult patient population with cancer diagnoses including hematology, medical oncology, bone marrow transplant, and gynecologic and surgical oncology patients
• Work in a 7-bed positive pressure wing caring for bone marrow transplant and acute leukemia patients
• Perform bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Operate Alaris IV pumps (Epic-integrated), barcode medication administration systems, SCD machines, and Alaris feeding pumps
• Required skills include chemotherapy administration and monitoring, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, port access and management, telemetry interpretation and management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA)
• Preferred certification: ONS
