ICU Registered Nurse Job in Cartersville, GA

Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a critical care float pool position. You will work 3x12 night shifts and have the flexibility to support multiple units across the hospital, including the ICU, Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Step-Down/PCU.

Position Details:

• Assignment duration: 98 days, starting November 2, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,916
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• No block schedule requests—you must be flexible with scheduling
• Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
• Holiday expectations: if 1–2 major holidays fall during your assignment, you work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall during your assignment, you work 2 of them

Requirements:

• Current Georgia or Compact nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• ICU experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with Epic charting system

Required Skills:

• Arterial line management
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Care of ventilated patients
• Central line care and management
• Isolation precautions and PPE use
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Suctioning (endotracheal and nasotracheal)
• Titrating cardiac drips
• Titrating vasoactive drips

Patient ratios in Medical Surgical areas can reach 1:6. This role demands clinical expertise, adaptability, and a commitment to providing high-quality care across diverse patient populations and unit types.
