CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Nashville, TN

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 26-week travel assignment in the Cardiac Vascular Operating Room (CVOR). You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with call coverage requirements in addition to your scheduled shifts. Call duties operate on a three-layer 24/7 rotation with requirements varying every 6 weeks.

Your Role:

• Scrub and circulate complex cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve replacement, repeat procedures, heart failure cases, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, pulmonary thromboembolism, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital cases
• Care for adult patients only—no pediatric population
• Float between operating rooms within the facility as needed
• Work day-to-day schedules; block scheduling is not available

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Willingness to take call in addition to your three 12-hour shifts per week

Assignment Details:

• 26-week commitment only—shorter assignments will not be considered
• Weekly pay: $3,182
• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Time off is limited; you are expected to work 2 of 3 holidays during the assignment
