About this role

Bozeman Deaconess Hospital is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) to join the sleep lab team on nights. This is a 91-day travel assignment working 3x12 shifts at $2,496.60 per week, beginning July 2, 2026.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of sleep disorders testing, including setup and monitoring of patients over 10–12 hour periods
  • Operate and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment, resolving most problems independently
  • Score and evaluate polysomnograms according to physician orders
  • Administer therapies to patients as directed by physicians
  • Serve as primary contact for physicians, patients, and outreach accounts regarding sleep disorder diagnostics and consultation
  • Provide education and in-services for outreach accounts and groups interested in sleep disorders
  • Monitor and maintain sleep lab equipment
  • Incorporate cultural and age-appropriate care into all patient interactions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 24 months of experience in sleep disorder testing with routine EEG preferred
  • Current Montana licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved respiratory care or nursing program
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) certification
  • Self-directed individual capable of working independently under minimal supervision
  • Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility

This position may require work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call coverage may be required to respond to organizational, patient, or employee needs. You will provide direct support to the sleep disorders program and collaborate closely with the cardiopulmonology department.
