Opportunity:

Sleep Tech - Polysomnographer Cardiopulmonology

Job Details:

• Perform all aspects of sleep disorders testing, including setting up and monitoring patients over a ten to twelve hour period
• Operate and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment, with ability to resolve most equipment problems independently
• Score and evaluate polysomnograms according to physician orders
• Administer therapies to patients according to physician orders
• Serve as primary contact for physicians, patients, and outreach accounts regarding sleep disorder diagnostics and consultation
• Provide education and in-services for outreach accounts and groups interested in sleep disorders
• Monitor and assist in maintaining sleep lab equipment
• Incorporate cultural and age-appropriate care into all aspects of communication and patient care
• Position may require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts
• On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs
• Must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered
• Minimum 24 months of experience in sleep disorder testing with routine EEG preferred
• Must be a self-directed individual with the ability to act independently under minimal supervision
• Required certifications: American Heart Association BLS, Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT)
• Montana licensure required (Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse)
• Graduate of an AMA approved school for respiratory care or nursing required
