CVOR RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic Operating Room (CVOR) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, offering competitive compensation of $2,690.24 per week.

Schedule & Expectations

• 3x12 hour night shifts: 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM with rotating start times as needed
• Monday through Friday schedule with weekends as required per call policy
• On-call requirements: 3–4 weekday and 1–2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule (subject to unit needs)
• 40-minute turnaround time from call to clock-in required
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Must live at least 75 miles from facility

Role Details

You will scrub and circulate for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures, including transplants and Whipples. You will work with cardiac and thoracic cases primarily, handling urgent and emergent cases as the highest level of care in the region. Responsibilities include entering missing instruments into the CensiTrac system and charting in EPIC.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• 2 years of operating room experience (1 year acceptable if from Level 1 trauma facility)
• Heart and lung transplant experience required for night shift
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• BSN preferred
• Scrub and circulate experience for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Navy scrubs required
• Flu vaccine required (medical and religious exemptions only)

Floating

You will float within the service line to meet facility needs as determined by unit leadership.
