CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Saint Louis, MO

Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic Operating Room (CVOR) team in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of August 17, 2026.

Position Details

• 4x10 hour night shifts, 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Monday through Friday schedule with rotating weekend call shifts required (3–4 weekday and 1–2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule)
• 40-minute official turnaround time from call to clock-in for on-call shifts
• Holiday shifts as needed, discussed in advance
• May float within service line as needed
• Weekly pay: $3,281

Clinical Requirements

• Scrub and circulate experience required for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Heart and lung transplant experience required for night shift
• Primarily cardiac and thoracic cases; also includes vascular (open and endovascular procedures), transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas), and pancreatic procedures
• Must enter missing instruments into the CensiTrac system
• Fast-paced department with emergent cases; 16 operating rooms in the department
• Treats adult patient population

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience (1 year may be considered with Level 1 Trauma Facility experience)
• Level 1 Trauma Facility experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• RN degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Epic charting system experience
