Operating Room RN Job in New Orleans, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 56-week travel assignment in the Operating Room at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, earning $2,567 weekly.

About the Role

You will circulate in a peripheral vascular (PV) surgery environment with hybrid OR experience, serving patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatric populations. This position includes PV call responsibilities. Your responsibilities include circulating cases and providing conscious sedation support as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience in peripheral vascular surgery
• Previous travel nursing experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Epic charting system proficiency
• Valid compact or Louisiana nursing license upon assignment start
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license address)

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma Level I and Level II experience
• Ability to cross-train in neuro, ortho, and robotic surgical cases

• Duration: 56 weeks
• Shift: 3x12 days (8:30 AM–9:00 PM)
• Orientation: 36 hours required
• Two pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
• Must work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
