PCU Registered Nurse Job in Anniston, AL

RMC Anniston is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 56-week travel assignment beginning August 17, 2026, offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to expand your clinical skills in a dynamic care environment.

Position Details

• Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• Shift: 3x12 nights (every other weekend schedule required)
• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Weekly pay: $1,944

Core Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in the PCU with the flexibility to float to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed. Your duties include cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation, management of cardiac drips (no titration required), IV insertion, Heparin protocol management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, oxygen delivery via nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management, and rapid response/code team participation. You will also manage isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Current Alabama nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response
• Experience with charting systems
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia management and central/peripheral line care
