PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• Float to Med Surg units as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5
• Required work settings include MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Must be able to start IVs and manage Heparin protocols
• Must be able to manage cardiac drips with no titration required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Alabama nursing license required
• Charting system experience required
• Required skills include telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, blood product administration, central line care and management, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
