Job Details:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources
• Utilize prioritization and critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Comply with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines
• Use evidence-based practices to collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality outcomes and coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
• Identify barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations
• Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance
• Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel; may precept student nurses and new hires
• Practice according to professional and ethical standards as noted in the ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act
• Adhere to organizational attire and dress code in accordance with policies and procedures
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
• Two (2) years of hospital nursing experience required
• One (1) year of Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Nursing experience preferred
• Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required or to be obtained within six (6) months of hire
• Current PALS or ENPC certification required or to be obtained within one (1) year of hire
• Current TNCC certification required or to be obtained within one (1) year of hire
• Current STABLE certification required or to be obtained within one (1) year of hire
• Current NRP certification required or to be obtained within one (1) year of hire
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
