About this role

MUSC Health – Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for their Radiology and Cardiology departments in Charleston, SC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

  • 4x10-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
  • Potential flexibility to work additional days as needed
  • No on-call requirements
  • Weekly pay: $2,592
  • No radiation badge required

Role Details

  • Entirely in-house position with no travel between buildings or campus locations
  • Work with adolescent, infant, and pediatric patient populations
  • Daily caseload varies based on clinical needs
  • Charting via Epic system
  • One parking pass available for $20 one-time payment (nights and weekends only)
  • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Required Experience and Credentials

  • Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
  • Proficiency with NEC and TCD studies, spinal imaging, liver Doppler (all vessels), renal Doppler, renal transplants, extremity venous Doppler, intussusception, pyloric stenosis, appendix imaging, and neonatal head ultrasounds
  • Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ARDMS or ARRT certification
  • South Carolina state ultrasound licensure not required

Preferred Experience

  • Two to three years of dedicated pediatric ultrasound experience
  • Pediatric hospital experience, particularly with liver transplant cases
  • Skills in NICU, Pediatrics, PICU, and portable ultrasound services

Facility Information

Dress code: Teal tops and black bottoms. You'll join a pediatric specialty hospital serving infants, children, and adolescents with a diverse range of ultrasound studies and patient acuity levels.
