Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for patients with total joint replacements, spine surgeries, abdominal surgeries, urologic procedures, and general medicine conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:6 required on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
• Float between units as required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certification: BLS
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment to be considered
• Required skills: MS/Tele, cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, and telemetry
• Preferred skills: Orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, and previous charge experience
• Scrubs not provided; scrub color is Ceil Blue
• Medication system: Pyxis
• Documentation system: Cerner (preferred)
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
