ICU RN Job in Austell, GA

Join Cobb Hospital as an ICU RN working the night shift. You'll care for critically ill patients in a 12-bed intensive care unit, performing comprehensive nursing assessments and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Position Details:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
• 91-day travel assignment
• Start date: September 3, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,828

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
• Provide relationship-based care tailored to patient age, gender, and disease-specific needs
• Conduct bedside shift reports and participate in interdisciplinary rounds
• Educate patients and significant others on treatment plans and self-care
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care within the team environment
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities
• Serve as preceptor or mentor for nursing staff and students when applicable
• Respond to emergencies with decisive judgment and composure

Requirements:

• RN license (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
• BLS (AHA or ARC) and ACLS (or equivalent) certifications required within 180 days of hire
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Excellent time management and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and ability to optimize technology for clinical care
