ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work day/evening shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Washington State or Compact RN Licensure required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation or to alternate campus
• Coordinate and provide high quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Continually evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
• Accurately document care provided, assessments, plan of care, interventions, and patient responses
• Perform holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond appropriately
• Determine and complete appropriate nursing actions to address physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative patient needs
• Educate patients, families, and significant others on appropriate health information in a timely manner
• Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff according to hospital and unit policies
• Must consistently function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit specific standards of practice
