RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No major holidays required
• No float required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with oncology patients required
• Experience in outpatient ambulatory care or outpatient clinic setting highly preferred
• Connecticut nursing license or compact license required at time of submission
• ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy provider card preferred
• Position is within the coverage pool for medical oncology and hematology oncology
• Responsibilities include answering phone call triages and problem solving to meet patient care needs while working with the clinical team
• May work closely with nursing in the chemotherapy infusion room but does not directly cover or administer infusion therapies
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• May be required to work additional hours on an as-needed basis as part of the unit rotation pool to ensure coverage
• Required certifications: BLS
