Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Weekend coverage required, working every other weekend
• Float to other units when needed
• 36 orientation hours required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• Must have cardiac experience including cardiac drips, cardiothoracic surgeries, chest pain, post cath lab interventions, and other cardiac specific diagnoses
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Permanent license in-hand required at time of submission; temporary licenses are not accepted
• Must be within 75-mile radius of facility
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, chest tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips including titration, PCA, PICC line management, phlebotomy, post cardiac angiogram, post MI care, pre and post cardiac cath care, pre and post cardiac surgery care, pre and post hemodialysis management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care and management, wound care and wound vac
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Care for patients with general medical diagnoses, cardiac-related conditions including chest pain and MI, and vascular patients
• Provide post-operative care for cardiac and vascular procedures
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Provide oncology services including chemotherapy administration for inpatient oncology cases
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, and social services
• Unit consists of 42 beds and 42 rooms
