Job Details:

• Weekend night shift coverage: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 24 guaranteed hours per week
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Must hold one of the following certifications: ARDMS (AB) or ARDMS (OB)
• Position is focused on general ultrasound exams only - vascular experience is not applicable for this role
• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
• Operate ultrasound equipment and select appropriate transducers, settings, and techniques to ensure optimal image quality
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the exam, taking relevant medical history, and positioning them correctly
• Recognize and document normal and abnormal sonographic findings
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians by providing preliminary impressions and ensuring timely delivery of images and reports
• Maintain accurate patient records including procedure details and technical data
• Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of ultrasound equipment
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and radiation safety protocols
• Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education as required
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
• Complete procedures in an organized, timely, and accurate manner relative to department standards
• Utilize effective communication to ensure patient identification, education, safety, and satisfaction
• Document and communicate all variations from protocol
