Med Surg RN Job in Alexandria, LA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical unit at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. This is a full-time travel nursing position with a 91-day contract starting May 11, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekly pay: $2,312.64

Your Role

You will provide routine and complex nursing care to assigned patients using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Your responsibilities include:

• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Monitor patients for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care delivered
• Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate care assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers as needed

Requirements

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred
