Opportunity:

Certified Surgical Tech - CVOR Tech

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• 2 years of experience required in OR and Trauma
• Prior travel experience required
• Required certification: Current BLS certification by American Heart Association standards
• No additional licensure required
• Serve a patient population of adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Supply the operating room with proper equipment and instrumentation needed for specific surgeries
• Maintain sterility of the surgical field and anticipate the needs of surgeons
• Pass instruments in a timely fashion and assist with sponge or suction, holding retractors, applying electrocautery, irrigation, cutting suture material, connecting drains, and applying dressings
• Care for instrumentation and equipment after procedures and prepare for following cases
• Assist with room turnover to provide optimum service to surgeons, patients, anesthesiologists, and co-workers
• May be required to float to the needs of the organization up to competency level
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
