CT Technologist Job in San Angelo, TX

You'll work as a CT Technologist at Shannon South Campus, a small hospital-based outpatient department with an attached minor emergency department in San Angelo, Texas. This 91-day travel contract runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Your Role

You'll perform general ultrasound imaging with vascular experience across a diverse patient population including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit operates as a 2-room facility with approximately 10 patients per day and is supported by rapid response teams.

Required Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification
• ARRT R certification
• BLS certification
• General ultrasound and vascular experience
• Travel experience highly preferred

Clinical Skills and Responsibilities

You'll be proficient in 3D rendering techniques including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering. Your scope includes imaging of the abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, cervical spine, lumbar spine, and thoracic regions—with and without contrast as appropriate. You'll also handle emergency department imaging, musculoskeletal trauma studies, soft tissue neck imaging, sinus imaging, and pediatric acute care cases.

Additional competencies include preparation and administration of contrast media, PACS system operation, isolation precautions and PPE use, and proficiency with Toshiba equipment.

Contract Details

This position includes rotational call, holiday call as scheduled, and rotational on-call duties. You'll earn $2,304 weekly. Your contract start date is November 2, 2026.
