ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 3x12 hour shifts with day and night availability required
• Every other weekend required with 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) in a six-week period
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float required to ICU, ED, and Med Surg as needed
• Traveler will work in both IMC and ICU units
• Must have both ICU and IMC experience
• 2 years of recent experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior to applying
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient diagnoses include cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and GI/GU conditions
• Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chest tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, vasoactive and cardiac drip management, tracheostomy care, wound care, and phlebotomy
• Special equipment includes ventilator/trach, IV non-titratable drips, HFNC, dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Self-scheduling
