PCU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced RN for a 12-hour progressive care unit position. This 89-week travel role offers hands-on nursing in a step-down environment, starting October 12, 2026, at $2,397.60 weekly.

What You'll Do

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and deliver competent care across a range of health problems from simple to complex
• Manage central lines, foleys, and dialysis sites with proper technique and care protocols
• Provide end-of-life care and management with dignity and skill
• Administer medications as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients and intervene when necessary
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at time of discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make referrals regarding care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

What We're Looking For

• Med/Surg and step-down nursing experience required
• Charge experience is a strong plus
• Proficiency with central line care and management
• Expertise in foley catheter care and management
• Comfort with end-of-life care protocols
• Knowledge of dialysis site care, including respect for fistula access and proper HD catheter handling
