Operating Room RN Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on a 98-day travel assignment. You'll work 4x10 hour day shifts at $2,275.20 per week, starting September 14, 2026. A Georgia or Compact nursing license and current BLS certification are required.

Role Overview

You'll work in the Main OR covering General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal specialties. The unit operates 16 OR rooms with an average daily census of 35 patients. You must have both circulate and scrub experience. The facility uses Epic, Pyxis, and 2 Da Vinci XI Robots. Scrub attire is provided.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of operating room experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted. You'll care for adult to geriatric patient populations.

Schedule Details

Orientation is 72 hours, scheduled bi-weekly. Floating within the facility and scope of practice is rare but may occur. You may request up to 7 days off per contract, though no requested time off is permitted during orientation week. Spring Break (April 4–12) is a blackout period.

Call & Weekend Commitments

Expect 2–3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call. Call requirements total 7–8 calls per 8-week schedule, including 1 weekend call, 1–2 weekend shifts, and 2–3 weekday night call shifts. Call shifts are either C1 (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) or C2 (7:00 AM–7:00 PM).

Holiday Work

You are expected to work major holidays that fall within your assignment period, up to 2 of 3 if applicable. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
