Laboratory - Medical Lab Technician

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 mid shifts from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Minimum 3 years of MT/MLT experience required
• Hospital clinical laboratory experience required
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Certification through ASCP or AMT required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Perform a wide range of laboratory procedures including blood banking, specimen processing, and analysis
• Conduct CBC manual differentials, urinalysis, body fluid analysis, and stool analysis
• Perform blood bank procedures including ABO/Rh typing, antibody screens, crossmatching, and transfusion reaction workups
• Operate automated analyzers including Sysmex XM and Beckman instruments
• Conduct PCR testing, rapid test kits, immunoassays, and therapeutic drug monitoring
• Perform gram stains, arterial blood gas testing, hormone/thyroid testing, and cardiac enzyme testing
• Maintain quality assurance and controls, review and interpret QC data
• Follow proper specimen handling, labeling, preparation, and disposal procedures
• Adhere to transmission-based precautions and hazardous materials protocols
• May be floated to other campus locations as needed
