ICU Registered Nurse Job in Utica, NY

MVHS Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 42-bed Intensive Care Unit in Utica, NY. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM) on a unit composed of Neuro/Med (22 beds), Cardiac/Thoracic ICU (6 beds), and Surgical/Trauma (14 beds).

Role Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; 4–5 years preferred
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Current New York RN license required
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Proficiency with CRRT and Prismaflex mandatory
• Heart experience highly preferred and prioritized by management

Unit Duties:

You will float to all unit areas except Behavioral Health and the Emergency Room (unless on holding assignment). The ICU manages complex patient populations including stroke, sepsis, altered mental status, neuro-intervention (TCAR), respiratory failure, congestive heart failure, post-STEMI cases, cardiac surgery, cardiogenic shock, abdominal aortic aneurysm, trauma, and major post-operative patients.

Specialty Equipment & Skills:

You will work with specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT systems (PRISMA and NxStage), ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and therapeutic temperature management (Arctic Sun TTM). You must demonstrate skills matching ICU specialty requirements and wear navy scrubs.

• Weekly pay: $2,542
• Shift schedule: 3x12 nights (block scheduling not guaranteed)
